Thread guide for nuts, bolts, studs.   It is essential that you select the correct sized nut or bolt for your application. Type: Nut or Bolt Seat: Taper, Radius or Flat. Note that a special washer may also feature. In some cases there is a shank where the nut or bolt has an extended section after the seated section. Thread: Diameter and pitch ie M12x1.5 equates to 12mm diameter and 1.5mm thread pitch. This is vehicle specific and must be checked. Length: Length of the shaft which includes the total length of both threaded and blank on the shaft. Hex: 17, 19 or 21mm diameter head for socket/wheel brace. Head diameter: New tuner wheels have a narrow hole for the bolt or nut. For this application we recommend the Star Slim, Micro Locks, Spline drive and Tuner locks. Misc.: Note any other specifics such as open or closed ended nut, shank and washers etc. Remember: The fitting of after market wheels can require a different style of nut or bolt in terms of seat, shaft length (due to the wheel being thicker/thinner where the bolt goes through) and sometimes a narrow head depending on the type of wheel.
