The PIAA High Intensity Discharge (H.I.D.) system is the ultimate for long distance, endurance racing and sheer performance. The light source is produced by a stabilised ARC that burns at a much higher colour temperature which creates a whiter light output than a standard halogen bulb. The ARC is generated with an ignition system and ballast. Its compact design enables easy installation. PIAA supplies race developed lighting technology that you can buy. Note - Xenon is a gas, not a type of lighting system. A common misconception is HID lighting being referred to as Xenon lighting. Standard halogen bulbs for automotive use can and often do contain Xenon gas and hence can also be referred to as a Xenon bulb.
