PIAA's 180 mm HID lens are specifically designed for competition motorsport use. They are designed to directly replace conventional lenses fitted in rally lamp pods. These lenses are also suitable for use in GT and sports car applications for all sorts of motorsport and performance driving.

These lamps provide a massive increase in illumination over conventional halogen units. With only a draw of 35watts, the output of the PIAA HID lamps approaching almost an equivalent of 300watts, creating an intensity of light almost reaching that of daylight quality.

Available as a spot, drive or fog lens, these lense utilise the latest in PIAA SMR technology. This is where the beam pattern is defined by the shape of the reflector rather than the lens. The result, an un-restricted and penetrating beam of light projected through clear 5mm thick tempered glass.
